John 16:33
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
The tribulation is happening now. The majority of Christians are being persecuted for their faith...not because they are lukewarm or need to be purified to prove their faithfulness.
The present tribulation or trouble is for this present dispensation. Then when the last Gentile is saved, the we will be rescued fron the coming wrath (1 Thess. 1:10).
The tribulation to come is judgment to complete Israel's Seventy sevens found in Daniel 9:24 to 27 and spoken of by Jesus in the Olivet Discourse.
Only Israel, Gentiles, and tribulation saints will go through this time. This why the Church is never mentioned between Revelation 6 to 19. It is only for the earth dwellers.
